Clinic Guidelines & Nurse Responsibilities
Midlothian ISD is dedicated to supporting the health and academic success of every student. Our campus health offices, staffed by professional personnel, provide essential support to manage both acute and chronic conditions, ensuring students remain safe, healthy, and ready to learn. In accordance with Texas law (TEC §26.0083 and §38.036), this notice outlines the health-related and health-care services available to your child.
General Caretaking and Emergency Care (Always Provided)
To ensure the immediate safety of our student body, Midlothian ISD provides general caretaking and emergency care to all students without the need for a separate consent form.
Health-Related Services (Opt-Out Services)
Action Required Only to Decline Consent: These services utilize an "Opt-Out" process, meaning consent is automatically assumed unless a parent specifically submits a written request to withhold it. These are short-term, noninvasive activities designed to promote physical health.
Health-Care Services (Opt-In Services)
Action Required to Participate: These formal medical interventions require active, express written consent from a parent or guardian before they can be provided.
